Mokau Fishing Club Disclaimer

You must read and tick to validate your entry!

  1. By participating in the Mokau Fishing Club’s competition, I accept all risks associated with my participation in the above which could result in loss of life, or permanent injury or damages to any vessel/boat, equipment or clothing. Accordingly, I will not hold Mokau Fishing Club liable for any damage (whether direct, indirect or consequential), claims, costs, demands or proceedings of any kind arising out of my participation. This disclaimer shall extend to Mokau Fishing Club, its officers, and supporting sponsors.
  2. Any incidents or misfortunes that occur during the competition are the responsibility of the Skipper/owner of the boat and the persons involved, not ‘MFC’. As a participant, I agree to abide by the Maritime Rules and Regulations (including but not limited to those in relation to safety) for the duration of the competition and take full responsibility for my own actions.
  3. As a passenger on a boat/vessel, I will abide by the Skipper/Boat owner’s rules and take full responsibility for my own actions.
  4. As the skipper of the boat/vessel I understand it is my responsibility to inform all those on board of the safety rules associated with boating and that I will ensure all crew are wearing life jackets going out across the bar and coming back across the bar.
  5. I further acknowledge that any safety precautions undertaken by ‘MFC’ are a service to me and not a guarantee of safety. By signing this disclaimer, I accept the above regulations and by participating in the competition, I acknowledge I am responsible for my own actions and any incidents that may occur due to my actions. I hereby declare that all details given are a true and correct record.
  6. Fishing boundaries are South between White Cliffs and North Tirau Point as per Mokau fishing club competition boundaries. Boats must be launched and retrieved between these boundaries.
  7. All Merchandise purchased online will be required to be collected with arrangement of Mokau Fishing Club.
  8. Boat skippers required to radio out & in over bar on channel 6 to Mokau Base.
